This focus of this session will be to share the TAC experience from a reviewer's perspective, and attempt to identify some of the common stengths and weaknesses of projects, submissions and presentations that have come up for review by the Northeast TAC. The session will also briefly touch on the purpose of the TAC, the logistics of a TAC meeting and a few dos and don'ts for presenters.
Biography - Dave Sacco (EWB-USA):
David Sacco is a civil engineer with TPA Design Group in New Haven, Connecticut, working on site evaluation and design for residential, commercial and municipal clients. His professional experience includes pavement and geotechnical engineering, site grading and stormwater management design, and construction monitoring. Mr. Sacco served as a school construction volunteer with the Peace Corps in Gabon, and as an Associate Field Officer for UNHCR in Sri Lanka through the United Nations Volunteers. He has also worked on short-term projects in the DR Congo (former Zaire), Kosovo and Nigeria, and is a project mentor for the EWB Yale Student Chapter water supply project in Kikoo, Cameroon. He studied architecture at Yale (BA) and civil engineering at the University of Washington (MS).
