This workshop will include:

(1) an overview of how to develop an EWB-rural water scheme project
(2) how to determine which scheme is appropriate, given scale, accessibility, and population constraints
(3) hands-on demonstration of how hand-pumps work, how to build a concrete spring box, and an NGWA professional discussing drinking water well construction
(4) extensive Q&A (we will ask for project examples and discuss water scheme alternatives for those projects)

This is being sponsored by the EWB-Boston Professionals and the MA State Representative in cooperation with EWB-Harvard University however it is open to all chapters within EWB-USA.  It is strongly recommended that all water projects consider attending this workshop.  A suggested donation of $10 will be collected at the event, but is not required for attendance.
